Male patterned baldness is caused by a recessive allele on the X chromosome. An autosomal disorder called Sickle cell anemia is caused by crescent-shaped red blood cells while normal blood cells are round. If a person is heterozygous for the disorder, they have some normal red blood cells and some crescent-shaped red blood cells. Suppose a bald male with sickle cell anemia has children with a female that is homozygous normal for both disorders. What are the percentages of the expected phenotypes of their children?

Which one is the recessive, the crescent-shaped red blood cells causing the disorder or the normal red blood cells?
