This is a bit strange. Is there supposed to be an equal sign anywhere, and are we finding x' or y' ? I've attached a lesson our teacher gave to us, but report back with the answer to my question Sad Dummy

dx/dy of x^2+y^2+3xy+9
it is
dx/dy=2x.dx/dy + 2y + 3x + 3y.dx/dy
isolate dx/dy by making it subject of the equation.
you will get your answer
just look at it like any other normal implicit differentiation, except that it is dx/dy,  not dy/dx
if that is why you were confused.

Foadbear -- so should an equal sign be there? I'm so confused.

yeah I get it savio
it is just a function so you can put f(y) =  the function that is given since we have to find dx/dy
dont get confused, it is just like any other function you have differentiated
