Quite good.  Mexico has fertile soils, particularly around river valleys and volcanoes, the growing season is much longer than in the US, and there is abundant rainfall for a good portion of the year.  In addition labor is really cheap compared to the US.  Read the labels to find out where your tomatoes, lettuce, spinach, and strawberries come from in the middle of winter.  Other than South Florida east of the Florida City/Homestead area, which are planted in hundreds of thousands of acres of fruits and vegetables during the fall and winter, the majority of our winter fruits and vegetables come from Mexico, Central America, and South America.
