I need to calculate how long it would take a vehicle to slow down from 60mph to 30 mph.

I know the following parameters...
Vehicles current velocity
Vehicles mass
Coefficient of friction
Brake torque

Any and all help very much appreciated!

We know the eqn
           v=u+at
       Now v=30 u=60 a is retadation due to friction Now friction is related to ground reaction so
                 F=mu.R   R=mg
                 but F=ma so
                           a=mu.g a is negative so
            So   t=30-60/-mu.g=30/mu.g=30/mu.g  put g and m in proper unit to get the ans.      t=30/mu.g
