Loss leaders are products that are sold at a loss to attract customers to the store. Bait-and-switch advertising is a deceptive practice where the store lures customers in with a low price on an item only to aggressively pressure customers into purchasing a higher-priced model by disparaging the lower-priced item. Market penetration pricing is setting a low initial price in order to penetrate the market quickly and deeply.
