whose target pH is 6.94 using a weak acid with pKa of 6.78.
Express your ratio as a decimal number after dividing (conjugate base/weak acid).

The buffer equation is     pH =  Pka  +  log (A-) over (HA)

                          6.94 =   6.78  + log (X)

                                  so   log (X)  =   6.94 minus 6.78 which =   .16

                                 X =   antilog (.16) which is l.4        So in your buffer solution you will have l.4 moles of A_ and one mole of HA     or some similar ratio.
