Suppose a broth has 436 million bacteria per mL. A serial dilution is made using three bottles of 99 mL each. 1 mL is transferred from the sample to the first bottle; 1 mL is transferred from the first to second bottle, and 1mL from the second to third bottle. From the third bottle, 0.1mL is transferred on a pour plate. How many colonies would you find on this plate?

I'm not sure how to approach this problem, I don't understand this conceptually!!! Thanks for the help!
