1.   A 9.56-g sample of aluminum completely reacts with oxygen to form 13.34 g of aluminum oxide. Use this data to calculate the mass percent composition of aluminum in aluminum oxide.

2.   What is the limiting reactant for the following reaction given we have 2.6 moles of HCl and 1.4 moles of Ca(OH)2? Reaction: 2HCl + Ca(OH)2 → 2H2O + CaCl2

Hi Steptim,

1. Completely reacts means that all of the Al is in aluminum oxide.
 9.56/13.34 * 100% = 71.66%

2. HCl is the limiting reactant.

Hope this helps,
