I need help solving these algebra problems with steps?


1. If 4 less than 3 times a certain number is 2 more than the number, what is the number?

2. The least integer of a set of consecutive integers is -25. If the sum of these integers is 26, how many integers are in this set?

1.) 3x-4 = x+2
     2x-4 = 2          (you have to seperate x and numbers so x has to be taken away from both sides)
     2x = 6            (to seperate variables 4 has to be added to both sides)
     x = 3              (x has to be simplified so you divide it by 2 to make x instead of 2x so same has
                           be done to the opposite side which 6 divided by 2 is 3)

Sorry i cant really remember the second question so i cant help you with that one but hope the first one helps you out.
