I only know of two, and I want to be on the look out for my insect collection this summer. Also to properly name them as well.

THANKS!!!! Slight Smile

2 are what Ive found, generically, one a periodic, other an annual. Probably both known to you. Apparently some annuals coming off at the moment. Cant confirm because source is just too unreliable. There seems to be a project in work that folks are putting together, and asking for help in (field work). Have a notion, you might be  "hopefully" curious. The first link below, titled 'Dated site' relates to years past, but does have fine presentation of annuals and periodicals, endemic to your general area. That info can be found via side bar menu. That site and group(I believe) will apparently put up a more current site soon, the only thing I can suggest is keep an eye open by searching the web. That being the group looking for help from citizen scientist on cicada emergence, in Maryland.

The other 2 links are more generalized in info, the Michigan piece
is very well done and might be helpful.

Dated site,
http://www.cicadas.info/

Below quote "Magicicada is the genus of the
13-year and 17-year periodical cicadas "
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magicicada

Periodicals but not in Maryland, but close otherwise(could be overlap?)
