Can anybody help me with this problem?
Use your date to calculate the increase in flow rate in ml/min/mm Hg.  I'm not even sure how to set up the problem.  Thinking Face

My data is as follows:

mm/hg          ml/mi
 20                35.0
 50                70.1
 75               105.1
100              140.2
125              175.2
150              210.3
175              245.3
200              280.4

Any help is much appreciated. I have almost all of it done up until there if anyone else needs help with previous questions.

Don't you use: Rate of Change = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) ?

Remember, if you were to plot this, the graph should be linear because the relationship between pressure and blood flow is linear.

Undecided
So let me see if I'm on the right track......
the rate of change will stay constant since it is linear so I will only have to use the difference between two different pressure settings:

the x's are the difference in ml/mm readings   70.1-35=35.1
and the y's are the difference in mm/hg reading  50-20=30

Making the answer I think Thinking Face 30/35.1 ml/min/hg

Did I do this correctly? It has been a very long time since I've needed any math.

Yes, thanks Duddy, and you've done the correct calculation.

I'm not quite sure I get it yet.... Neutral Face

Should the answer be expressed as a fraction and why or why not?

   Thanks!

When I calcluate the slope of the line, I am getting 1.4. Did you get your grade back for this? Was your calculation correct, or was it 1.4?
