Hi there, how is the question stated exactly? I'm assuming this came from a textbook or worksheet...

Hi Phil

Electromagnetic waves travel at the speed of light (299,792,458 meters per second) and their frequency and wavelength can be determined by the formulas:

where 'c' is the speed of light in meters per second, the Greek letter lambda λ is the wavelength in meters and the frequency is in cycles per second.

Also, the photon energy can be calculated by the formulas:

where 'e' is energy (joules), 'f' is frequency (cycles per second), 'h' is Planck's constant (6.6260695729 x 10-34 Joule*seconds) and wavelength λ is in meters.
