A) The following piece of a RNA sequence was not given with a direction so it could be read by ribosomes in 2 different directions.  Show the result of the 2 interpretations.

AUGACAAAAGGUUAC

B) Show how the amino acid sequence being translated would change for the 2 interpretations if the highlighted C was deleted.  How would you classify this mutation (ie. what type of mutation does a deletion cause)?

ohhhh thanks!! but why would it be Lys-Lys, since after you delete the C, wouldn't it be AAG? Why does the G change into A to make it Lys?

The genetic code is redundant. Sometimes more than one codon can code for the same AA
