What influence did Erasmus have upon Renaissance thought?

  A) Erasmus had a greater impact in death than in life upon the renaissance scholars and the Church.
  B) Erasmus' vision of a Utopian society was something the world embraced and attempted to emulate.
  C) He was cast out of university for his unholy ideas and had only a small cult following.
  D) Erasmus had a strong influence on those wishing to convert to paganism.
  E) He used techniques of ancient writers like Lucian to make his points through mockery. These were criticisms of the corruption of the Church and nobility. No one was spared and society embraced this.
