How did the Greeks influence the early Romans?
 
  A) The Greeks had established city-states in Sicily and southern Italian territories. As Rome grew and expanded, they systematically confiscated Greek territory copying as much as they could from the Greek slaves.
  B) The Romans first encountered the Greeks when they began a program of eastward expansion. The sacking and destroying of Greek cities brought the Romans into contact with the Greek Achievement. Eventually, the Romans adopted aspects of their culture.
