I really need help with this one chemistry question (: thanks !!

What is the answer to the following multiplication using significant digits?
(4.25)(2.0)


A) 8.5
B) 8.50
C) 8.02
D) 7.5

The answer is A.  Your multipliers are 4.25 and 2.0, each w/ 3 and 2 sig figs respectively.

Consequently, your answer cannot have more than 2 sig figs.

when multipying or dividing,the final answer get the one which hav the least significant number...
what i mean is 4.25(3 significant number),2.0(2significant number)
so take the correct answer which have 2 significant number
