well the sequence is on the mrna and apart of initiation, which rules out c d e... it's purine rich and begins on the 5' end so it's most likely A.

The Shine-Dalgarno sequence is purine rich.  It forms base pairing with a highly conserved, pyrimidine-rich region of the 16 rRNA which is part of the 30S ribosomal subunit.
