Amoxicillin Pharmaceutical Formulation Amoxicillin is a penicillin-type antibiotic that used to treat bacterial infection (Charles Patrick Davis, 2015). The objective of this report is to outline the production process and quality of Amoxicillin pharmaceutical formulation. There are many manufacturing processes associated with Amoxicillin formulation such as Coating Amoxicillin with Ethyl Cellulose, Induced Aggregation of Gold Nanoparticles with Highly Sensitive Colorimetric, Potentiometric Titration with a Platinum or Mercury Indicator and RP-HPLC Method in Bulk drug (Preet Kaur Simar, Rekha Rao, and Sanju Nanda, 2011). Chemically Amoxicillin is a white powder consist of (2S,5R,6R)6[[(2R)2Amino2(4hydroxyphenyl)acetyl]amino]3,3dimethyl7oxo4thia1azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane2carboxylic acid (Preet Kaur Simar et al., 2011). An isocratic high pressure liquid chromatography HPLC is the most efficient method used for analysis of pure amoxicillin in different pharmaceutical dosage form including capsule, tablet, oral suspension and injection (Preet Kaur Simar et al., 2011). First, to prepare stock solution of Amoxicillin, 100 mg of Amoxicillin is dissolved in 50 mL of potassium dihydrogen phosphate and methanol (mobile phase) and sonicated for about 20 minutes (G, Suresh Babu, and Sathish Kumar Shetty A, 2011). The solution was then diluted subsequently with the mobile phase in order to achieve linear concentration range of 20- 100 ?g/ml (G, Suresh Babu et al., 2011). The solution was then injected three time into the 20 ?L loop and the chromatogram analysis was recorded. After retention time of 6.30 minutes, the amount of Amoxicillin was calculated by calibration curve. For accuracy result, 25 tables each containing 250 mg of Amoxicillin was then tested in laboratory (G, Suresh Babu et al., 2011). The percentage recovery was between 99.2% to 99.6% which conclude that the HPLC method is high accurate and efficient for Amoxicillin pharmaceutical formulation (G, Suresh Babu et al., 2011).
