Energy Resources range from inexhaustible to nonrenewable

Description
Earth’s Natural Resources:

Renewable resources:
1. Perpetually available: sunlight, wind, wave energy
2. Renew themselves over short periods: timber, water, soil
- can be overharvested

Resource management:
1. Balancing the use of a resource with its protection and preservation
2. The stock is the harvestable portion of the resource

Nonrenewable resources: finite supply; can be depleted
1. Oil, coal, minerals
2. Will not be available because they will not be replenished on a humanly accessible time scale
