Using both hands, gently but firmly grasp the skin over a spot on the upper back, and lift the skin until tension is felt. Maintain tension for 2–3 minutes. Apply the skin lifting technique over all areas of the back, searching for areas that have more restriction than others as indicated by increased resistance to lifting.
