Here students may talk about the importance of having interest in the subject matter involved with the project or task. If this is the case, you might consider discussing with students how they could broaden their interests, in effect increasing the frequency with which they are interested in school projects and tasks.

Students may also talk about particular instructors who engaged students, a terrific group dynamic, the context of the project, or any other such factors. Have them identify factors that contribute to the success of a project. Which factors are under their control? What things are they unable to control? Talk about what this means for future projects. Should they just cross their fingers, or are there things they can do to enhance the experience and limit the tendency to procrastinate?
