THE ANSWER IS B. Many not-for-profit organizations, such as the Sierra Club and the Red Cross, use marketing to enhance their public image, raise awareness of the causes they support, and increase donations. Some of these not-for-profit organizations, museums, for example, have a need to expand their membership in order to meet their operating costs. Countries, states, and cities use marketing to attract tourism and inform the public about their history and culture. However, when there is an investigation going on into scientific or public health issues, such as the use of alcohol-based drugs for children's diseases, this is not done for marketing purposes. It is done for humanitarian purposes and to improve the quality of life for people.
