Eli, age 5, lives on an island where there are very few metal objects. He is handed a pair of scissors to cut a traced object on a paper by a researcher. What might the researcher find?
a.   Eli will not be able to cut the shape because he does not have strong fine motor skills.
b.   This test does not accurately measure his fine motor skills.
c.   Eli will quickly cut the object out. Five-year-olds pick up new skills very quickly.
d.   Eli will use his whole body to try and manipulate the scissors, as he is more used to using gross motor skills.
