How do physics and engineering go together?

Write about impulse.  Impulse is force times time.   or I =Ft

Impulse is the total force on the object over a given time.  We want to drop the impulse as much as possible by increasing time so that there's the least amount of...damage, so to say... as possible.

This is to reduce the impact of an object, such as the egg, that was dropped towards a hard surface.  It is very related to engineering because that's what manufacturers have to consider about when there are car accidents or collisions.

The air bag in the car is just as similar to the soft area in your container that is...to catch the survived egg.   Engineering is all about the design to have the best quality from the least quantity of resources in the shortest amount of time.

Engineering uses physics to analyze forces on moving objects. In your project, you designed a device that would protect the egg. If you were to analyze the forces on the container, you would be using physics. The objective of engineering is to determine whether the device will protect the egg before you drop it by using physics to analyze the forces applied to the container and egg.

Physics is one of the tools that is used to solve engineering problems, the same as heat transfer, calculus, thermodynamics and many other subjects that are studied.
