I know that I want to major in psychology when I go to college, but I want to know what my job options are. I know that you can be a therapist, but is there anything other than that that you can get with a psychology degree? But it must still apply in the range of "Jobs in Psychology" (as in, please do not say 'Work at Wall Mart!' or 'With a psychology degree you can get a job in the business field as a _'). Understand? Thank you very much!

You generally need further certification than just a bachelor's degree in psychology in order to become a therapist.  I honestly don't know of any jobs that seek simply psychology degrees. Generally, to be useful in the field (research or teaching) then you would need advanced degrees. For work outside the field, you'd need to sell yourself extremely well in showing how your degree would apply to other work, or major in something more directly useful. That isn't to say that you can't get a job with a psychology degree, but you'd be competing with the English and History and Sociology (etc.) bachelor's degree holders out there for whatever you could stretch your existing job skills and experience to cover.

I am a psychology major and there are job opportunities available. When you do go to college make sure to check out your career services office early on to get internships and future outlook about the field. You can always start out in some business or company and then continue your education which can eventually get you into more job opportunities. But it really depends on what you want to do and how much money you want to make. YES, it is possible to get jobs other than a therapist. Psychology is a very general major and dealing with people and the mind is useful in any job! Positive thinking, a good education and using your resources from the beginning will help! Best of luck.
