1. is inertia affected by speed? is inertia a force? if speed does not affect inertia why does it take longer for an object travelling at higher speeds to stop?
2. Does mass/weight/force affect friction?

Inertia is a funny ancient non-scientific term that could be translated as 'reluctance to move'. It tells you something about an object that IS AT REST (i.e. NOT MOVING relative to you)

These days we tend to stick to things like MOMENTUM (Mass * Velocity = 'how hard' (how much energy) it is to change the objects velocity. This tells you something about objects that are moving  relative to you.

Friction == what do you think Neutral Face?
consider Mass (same as 'Weight' when stationary in a gravitational field eg. on Earth) ... are heavy things more difficult to get moving ?

(not sure what you mean by 'force' .. plainly a stationary object needs more force to get moving (due to static friction) but once it's moving it needs less force to keep it moving or make it go faster ... that's because the friction between 2 surfaces CHANGES when one of the surfaces starts moving ..)
