Reviews of psychological interventions for problem drinking show
 
  A) brief interventions and techniques oriented toward changing motivation are most effective.
  B) psychotherapeutic programs overall are less effective than Alcoholics Anonymous.
  C) once a person is an alcoholic, that person can never return to controlled drinking.
