Patient W has been a patient on your medical unit for 4 days. Patient W's main symptoms included sudden blindness and paralysis of all fingers. Medical diagnosis has been negative; patient W has been given the diagnosis of conversion disorder.

An appropriate nursing action for patient W would be:
  A) Let patient W know that you understand the symptoms are real to him or her
  B) Discuss the physical symptoms with patient W in detail
  C) Understand that there is no need to report or record new physical complaints because you now know the condition is not medical in nature
  D) Reinforce the secondary gain, because you know doing so is beneficial to the patient's recovery
