For reference to other members, here it is:

Seven Tools for Quality
This week you have learned about the seven tools of quality. These tools are essential within the workplace and will improve your work environment if used properly. Using your current workplace as an example (if you are not employed, you may use a previous employer or fictional company) determine how the seven tools of quality can be used to improve your company. You will expand on your thoughts pertaining to the use of all seven tools. If there are tools that you feel would not be beneficial, expand upon why you feel this way. Use your course materials and outside research to generate a solid analysis on why these methods would be helpful. Your analysis should be supported by research.
The requirements below must be met for your paper to be accepted and graded:
•   Write between 750 – 1,250 words (approximately 3 – 5 pages) using Microsoft Word in APA style, see example below.
•   Use font size 12 and 1” margins.
•   Include cover page and reference page.
•   At least 80% of your paper must be original content/writing.
•   No more than 20% of your content/information may come from references.
•   Use at least three references from outside the course material, one reference must be from EBSCOhost. Text book, lectures, and other materials in the course may be used, but are not counted toward the three reference requirement.
•   Cite all reference material (data, dates, graphs, quotes, paraphrased words, values, etc.) in the paper and list on a reference page in APA style.
References must come from sources such as, scholarly journals found in EBSCOhost, CNN, online newspapers such as, The Wall Street Journal, government websites, etc. Sources such as, Wikis, Yahoo Answers, eHow, blogs, etc. are not acceptable for academic writing.

First you have to come up with a work place – Let's say you work at a factory that produces plastic furniture for the outdoors. Here are some tools your managers might use to make their employees produce better products.

Flow Chart

This is a diagram that applies graphic symbols to show the nature and flow of the procedures in a process. It will be used to identify problem areas and improvement openings (Chiarini, 2011). It will also promote process understanding and offer a tool for training the workers.

Cause and Effect Diagram

This refers to a graphic tool that assists in identifying, sorting, and showing possible causes of a problem or quality features (Chiarini, 2011). It will be used to determine root causes, encourage teamwork in the organization, and show possible causes of variations.

Pareto Chart

This is a bar chart organized in descending sequence of height from left to right. The bars on left are comparatively more significant than those on the right (Chiarini, 2011). It will be used to show where to focus efforts, find out the most important factors influence a process, and enables a better use of scarce resources.

Histogram

This refers to a bar graph that depicts the spread of data. It will be used in the firm to communicate information to the team, summarize large data sets in the graphs, and compare and contrast measurements to standards (Chiarini, 2011).

Of course, these are not specific to the industry I've chosen, but nonetheless can be applied to several make-believe scenarios. Also, you'll need to include 2 more tools. I've referenced Chiarini below in case it's required:
