For the experiment described​ below, let x determine a random​ variable, and use knowledge of probability to prepare a probability distribution.

Two names are drawn from a hat, signifying who should go pick up pizza Six of the names are on the swim team and four are not The number of swimmers selected is counted.

Here are my calculations (please note I'm not certain, need to think further about it; will update the topic)

The probability of 0 swimmers is

First selection: (4/10)
Second selection: (3/9)

(4/10) * (3/9) = 2 / 15 chance that x = 0 swimmers are selected.

The probability of 1 swimmer is

First selection: (6/10)
Second selection: (4/9)

(6/10) * (4/9) = 4 / 15 that x = 1 swimmers are selected.

---

The probability of 2 swimmer is

First selection: (6/10)
Second selection: (5/9)

(6/10) * (5/9) = 1 / 3 chance that x = 2 swimmers are selected.
