Ayurvedic oil product.

User experience:

I as the end user used this product for head massage at a hair saloon since i was experiencing a headache. This product was recommended by the Hair cutting salon personnel.

After the head massage was completed with this Ayurvedic oil product, i experienced sneezing & common cold after 3-4 hours.

Does it mean my immune system is weak?

Am i allergic to cold oil head massage by using this product?

Do i fall in the 20% category people who experienced a common cold after applying Ayurvedic oil on head and not in the 80% category people who do not have a cold after doing the head massage?

Note : The Ayurvedic oil is very cold in touch.

I spoke to a Pathologist in our neighborhood regarding what could be the reasons which caused a running nose, sneezing & common cold to me 3-4 hours after the Head massage was done with this product.

He told me the most likely reason for common cold was due to the smell fragrance of the ayurvedic oil product.

If this is the reason, do you suspect that just like me who will get a common cold after applying the mentioned Ayurvedic oil product on the Head for a massage to get relief from a headache has a problem with the nose or Sinus organ?

Note : All people who will do the Head massage with the above Ayurvedic oil product do not get a common cold as they may fall in 80% category. The 20% category which includes me get a common cold.

Do you feel i should visit a Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) specialist for checking?

You had symptoms of the common cold, not the cold virus. It's important to distinguish that. Furthermore, you could try using it one more time at a lower dose to see if the same affect is experienced. Might possibly be an allergy towards a component in the oil, as stated by the pathologist.

I visited our Ayurveda doctor for medicines after i started sneezing, nose running.
Our doctor gave me medicines which i became well in two doses.

This happened with me twice by using the Ayurveda oil product for Head massage to get relief from headache at the salon. Thereafter, i didn't use this product for head massage but a different product "Parachute coconut oil" for head massage. With this product there was no sneezing, nose running & cold virus.

Do you suspect some problem with my nose?

Should i visit the ENT specialist for checking my nose?

Would you like to evaluate the Navratna Ayurveda oil ?

Note : The Headache was due to not getting adequate sleep of 7-8 hours due to office work.

You don't need medicine if you suffered from an allergic reaction; I'm guessing your doctor gave you a placebo.

I also agree with you on one more point which you mentioned was the quantity of the Ayurvedic oil applied on my head for massage by the salon personnel. As you rightly pointed, maybe lesser quantity of oil taken from the Ayurveda oil product in milli litres will not trigger a sneezing, watery eyes & stuffy noise which you mentioned was a allergic reaction.

If you're allergic to something, it's your immune system's way of rejecting it. Hence, every a minute amount isn't worth its benefits.

I would like to explore further and take your inputs, views & opinion.

Experiment :

100 Human being samples of same age say 50 years (This is my current age) went to Hair salon for Head massage.

Gender : Male

Product : Navratna Ayurvedic oil - Thanda Thanda - Cool Cool.

Same quantity of oil applied to 100 Human beings Heads.

Same amount of time say 15 minutes head massage performed.

Now out of 100 Human being species, some human beings catch a common cold, some
do not catch a common cold.

What are the reasons?

1 Brain - As the oil is applied to the Head externally.

2 Nose organ - As informed to me by the Pathologist, the smell of the oil product led me to sneezing, common cold.

3 Sinus organ - Same reason for above to Nose organ.

When we say a allergic reaction to some allergens, it signifies some Human beings organs - (The Human anatomy is made up of organs, bones, muscles with different systems, many organs are common to both male & female gender in different systems, some few organs are different) are susceptible to allergens.

Medical science is beautiful for study.

Your views,opinion,inputs regarding this experiment.

I missed one more parameter.

All the 100 Human being samples of same age, same gender also having a common normal human body temperature of 98.6°F before applying the Oil for Head massage.
