The amino group react with HCl to give ammonium salt as amine nitrogen is basic in nature (nitrogen lone pairs readily accept protons (i.e. H+ ions) from HCl and become positively charged to give ammonium salt).

There is no reaction with base like NaOH as amino group is basic in nature.
