To calculate the final concentration (w/v), we need to divide the weight of the active ingredient (in grams) by the volume of the solution (in milliliters), and then multiply the result by 100.
In this case, we have 30 gm of active ingredient mixed with 1,000 mL of normal saline:
Final concentration (w/v) = (30 gm / 1000 mL) x 100%
Final concentration (w/v) = 0.03 x 100% = 3%
Therefore, the final concentration (w/v) is 3%. The correct answer is C) 3%.
