In the Mahabharat, Dhritarashtra was the son of Sage Vedavyas and Ambika, whereas Pandu was the son of Sage Vedavyas and Ambalika. Ambika and Ambalika were full sisters. What is the coefficient of relatedness between Dhritarashtra and Pandu?

Because Dhritarashtra and Pandu share a common father, and their mothers are full sisters, this makes them half-siblings. The coefficient of relatedness between half-siblings is calculated as:

\[r = (1/2)^2 = 1/4 = 0.25\]
