Mastering Astronomy, Seasons 2: Why is summer hotter than winter?
Hey everyone, I was hoping someone could help me with this question.
Each of the following figures shows a person (not to scale) located on Earth at either 40°N or 40°S latitude. Rank the figures based on how much time the person spends in daylight during each 24-hour period, from most to least. To rank items as equivalent, overlap them.

Figures 1 and 4 show a person in the northern hemisphere during summer
Figures 5 and 6 show a person in the northern hemisphere during winter
Figure 2 shows a person in the southern hemisphere summer
And finally figure 3 shows a person during winter in the southern hemisphere
Figures 1,2, and 4 have the most daylight
Figures 3,5, and 6 have the least daylight
Answer #2: (6,5,3),(1,2,4) from the least to most sunlight during 24 hours

The question is asking how long does each person spend in daylight?
All it's asking is to rate the pictures n order of which person has the most time in the sun eg: 1,4,2,5,3,6..get it?
From what I can see:
1,2,4 are equal
3,5,6 are equal
So the order is Most = 1, 2 & 4, least 3, 5 & 6
