Balanced equation is as follows:

2Al + 3CuSO4 Rightwards Arrow Al2(SO4)3 + 3Cu

sum of coefficients is 2+3+1+3= 9

(there is no number in front of the Al2(SO4)3 because we don't write 1's but for this question it has to be included)
