I'm studying Mechanical engineering. I opted for this branch because of my love for Physics but now I think its not as much Physics as I had expected. Now I want to switch to pure Physics or Quantum or nuclear Physics. Is there any way I can do this without losing the time I've spent doing Mechanical Engineering and if yes, what courses can I go for in Masters?
Thank you.

No. Nuclear physics has almost no applications in mechanical engineering. You might be able to do a master's in nuclear engineering though.
