I'm a junior who wants to become a Registered Nurse, and I read online that the best option is to go to a university and study for a BSN. But I'm not sure how it works. After I graduate, if I go to a 4 year university (that provides nursing degree), do I study that for 4 years and then take the exam? Won't I still have to take general education for two years?
How does it work?

You attend a 4 year college or university. The first 2 years of college are for completing general ed/liberal arts requirements and specific nursing prerequisites courses. The last 2 years focus on actual nursing courses and clinicals.

After you graduate, you take the NCLEX. On average, it takes about 4-4.5 years to earn a BSN.
