I understand that the difference between diploblastic and triploblastic animals is the one extra germ layer, the mesoderm. But I was under the impression that the endoderm forms the gut. Here are the answers I have to choose from:

A) Ectoderm
B) Mesoderm
C) Endoderm
D) Pseudocoelom
E) Coelom

Body covering - (from ectoderm)

Digestive tract - (from endoderm)

Tissue layer - lining coelom

internal organs - (from mesoderm)

Coelomates such as annelids have a true coelom, a body cavity completely lined by tissue derived from mesoderm

So. correct answer is C. endoderm
