If someone were planning to go on to graduate school in psychology would you necessarily need an undergraduate degree in psychology or just in any subject?

The reason I ask this is because I could either take a specialist bachelor of arts in cognitive science which is basically a mix between computer programming and psychology and has 3 paid work terms or take a major in just plain psychology.

What would the best option be?

Thanks

You must major in psychology to have a shot at getting into a psychology graduate program.  They're very competitive, and they don't start over at the beginning.  A minor is not sufficient, and not taking a major or minor means you can't get into the grad program.  However, you can also do a major in cognitive science (as a double major) and since it has overlap with psychology it won't take long to finish it.
