Hey guys, I really need help with this one.
It's kind of tricky. I have this diagram labeled with the eye, and it shows its muscles (the extrinsic muscles of the eye)
and I have to answer the follwoing:

Eye muscle function is rather unique as one muscle, the superior oblique, passes through a loop called the trochlea. If the superior oblique is contracted, the eye will rotate to the
A. left and move slightly upward
B. right and move slightly upward
C. left and move slightly downard
D. right and move slightly dowwnward

I really have no idea.. you don't really need the diagram to answer this-- if anything you could just get one on line..
please help.
thanks

It depends on the picture.

To my understanding, the superior oblique (labelled SO) moves the eye downwards and horizontally. So for instance, if the right eye is contracted, it will move to the left. If the left eye is contracted, it will move to the right.

So if you're looking right and down, you are using the left superior oblique muscle.

Not my field of study, but that's the best I can offer.

So either (c) or (d)
