What effect would each of the following have on the calculated molecular weight of an unknown? would the calculated value be higher than the true value? lower? same? explain.

1) some of the unknown fails to dissolve

2) the thermometer is out of calibration and reads 0.75° C higher than it should over the entire temperature range.

3) the test tube is not dried before it is weighed.

You need to provide more information, post your lab here!

With limited information, here's what I can tell you Undecided

A) Not enough information given Neutral Face
B) Freezing point of pure water is 0oc so 0oc + 0.73 = 0.73 oC
C) Would get smaller.
