In the U.S., to qualify for minimum entry level human services jobs that pay more than minimum wage you would at least need a Bachelors degree to find competitive employment.  There are some jobs in day cares, or head start, for example, that do hire individuals to work with children with an Associates degree in psychology, child development, etc.  However, if you are looking for a competitive job with a decent salary, you will need at least a Bachelors degree.
