i'm planning on switching my major from biochemistry to psychology, so, i was wondering what kind of ideal jobs can i have later on with a degree in psychology?

I have a friend who just graduated with a BA in psychology and she can't find a job anywhere.  She has found out the degree is almost useless unless you go on to graduate school.  You could possibly work as a social worker with the state with a degree in psychology, be she is having a hard time even doing that.  She is now planning on going back to school and getting another major.
