integers = A whole number; a number that is not a fraction.
This includes negative and positive numbers.

-3,000 - 3,000 = 6,000 integers.

6,000 divided by 3 = 2,000

you have 2,000 integers in that -3,000 - 3,000 range that is divisible by 3.
