In horses, B=black coat, b=brown coat, T= trotter and t= pacer. A black pacer mated to a brown trotter offspring. Give all possible genotypes for the offspring.


if someone could do the square for me and explain exactly how they came to that conclusion i would greatly appreciate it. I have a bio final in the morning and this is the only thing i have left to learn.

A black pacer has BB tt genotype or Bbtt genotype and Brown trotter has bbTT or bbTt genotype.
The gamets of BBtt will be Bt and Bt
The gamets of Bbtt  will be Bt and bt
The gamets of bbTT will be bT and bT
The gamets of bbTt will be bT and bt
Using this we can conclude the genotypes of possible offsprings as BbTt, bbTt, Bbtt, bbtt
