Cell Membrane
Is it integral or peripheral. That's what I need to know.

They would have a hydrophobic section which would fit in the hydrophobic region of  the lipid bilayer where the hydrophobic fatty acid tails are located.

They would be integral since they go past the phospholipid bilayer since they have to regulate what comes in and out of the cell.

Porins are beta barrel proteins that cross a cellular membrane and act as a pore through which molecules can diffuse. Unlike other membrane transport proteins, porins are large enough to allow passive diffusion, i.e., they act as channels that are specific to different types of molecules. They are present in the outer membrane of Gram-negative bacteria and some Gram-positive bacteria of the group Mycolata, the mitochondria, and the chloroplast.
These proteins are integral, as are all transmembrane proteins.
You might try utube or the many animations on google, they helped me tremendously.

Best of luck to you
