Hi, I am a new user and I am I am a sophomore in high school and I am writing a four page research paper on marine biologists for my career class. I was wondering if someone could please give me some information on the skillls required and and general information on the career. A marine biologist is a biologist by trade right.

To become a biologist, you will need to have the following:

  • practical scientific skills
  • an enquiring mind
  • the ability to think clearly and logically
  • good problem-solving skills
  • a methodical approach to work
  • accuracy and attention to detail
  • good teamworking skills
  • the ability to manage and develop a team
  • excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • the ability to keep up to date with advances in your field
  • an understanding of statistics and relevant computer packages
