I need to come up with a math calculation for this scenario:
gas 1 mile away is 4.47. gas 4 miles away is 4.10. (0.37) cheaper. Which is more economical? Please help. Slight Smile

This depends on your vehicle. If your car doesn't use up a lot of fuel, then it is more economical to drive 3 more miles to get the cheaper fuel than it is to purchase the $0.37/gal more expensive fuel a mile away. Were you given any other parameters to work with?
