I have to design an experiment at school. I will test if different temperatures and pH levels have an effect on the enzyme activity. I have tried the fehling's solution, but I am not sure if there will be a specific colour change, if there are less monosaccharides. Is there any other way of finding out the amount of monosaccharides in a solution? Or does someone know if there is a noticeable change in the colour if less monosaccharides are present?

Hi Julian, you could try this link:

Provides some good ideas. Also, there is the benedicts test.
